Birthorpe, a chapelry in the parish of Sempringham, county of Lincoln ; 2½ miles east of Folkingham. Living, a curacy not in charge, annexed to the vicarage of Sempringham. Pop., in 1801, 58 ; in 1831, 54. Houses 12. Acres 390. A. P. £694. Poor rates, in 1838, £.32 11s. Tithes commuted. See Billingborough.
