215 x 135 mm typically 32pp/issue. The journal had begun under the editorship of W.H Bernard Saunders, in April 1888. It included a wide variety of information on topics related to The Fens of eastern England. Its form was that of the internet forum, in which correspondents’ questions were intended to elicit answers from others.

Beginning in April 1895, the Hereward story, from Peterborough was included as a supplement.
